The East African region is one of the most climate-vulnerable regions in the world, facing severe impacts from floods, droughts, desertification, and changing weather patterns.
Yet, it is also a region of immense opportunity—abundant in renewable energy potential, youthful innovation, and rich ecosystems that can drive sustainable development.
Climate change knows no borders. The impacts demand a coordinated and robust legislative response across the entire region.
By empowering lawmakers with knowledge, tools, and platforms to act decisively, EACLA is shaping a regional legislative response that is as bold as the challenge itself.
We call on national parliaments, regional blocs, development partners, civil society, and the private sector to collaborate with EACLA in building a resilient and climate-just East Africa.
